In this guide, we will look at how you can:

  • update the details of your existing leads

  • update the lead owners of selected leads

Update Details of Existing Leads

You can import a CSV file with the updated information of your leads. Follow the steps to import your leads, and select "Overwrite all data in Saleswhale with your new ones" in Step 4:

As the unique identifier of your leads are their email addresses, the information in the CSV will be used to overwrite the information of the lead in Saleswhale based on matching email addresses. This method is time-efficient if you are updating multiple leads' information.

If you are looking to update the information of a single lead, you can go to the Leads page and search for the name or email address of this lead. Once you have located the lead, head to "Edit Details" to update the information. You can also change the lead owner of your lead on this page.

Click on "Update" to save your changes.

Update Lead Owner for Selected Leads

If you are looking to update the lead owner for multiple leads, head to the Leads page. Use the filters to segment the leads that you wish to update.

Once you have located the segment of leads, click the checkbox to select "All", and under "More Actions", click "Update Lead Owners".

You will then be prompted to choose a new lead owner for these leads.
