Our guiding principle with images is the fewer the better, for several reasons listed here.
- Keep it short and sweet. From our data, we see that plain emails have better delivery and response rates and deliverability issues begin to occur once email file sizes are over 100KB.
- Make it easy for your prospects. Not all email service providers will readily display your email images. Most of the time, recipients will need to click an extra link to allow images to download and display.
- Ensure email deliverability. Images are one of the things email serve providers scan for when detecting whether emails are spam. Overuse and bad use may land your emails in this category.
