For your campaigns, you have the option to suppress lists of emails or domains with a suppression list. This prevents your AI Assistant from reaching out to a specific segment of leads in your campaigns.

Suppression lists must be applied on an individual campaign level.

Your AI Assistant has several pre-built suppression lists based on filters:

  • Bounced
Leads that have any previous conversations with the Bounced status

  • Do Not Contact
Leads marked with the Do Not Contact status

  • Leads interacted within last 6 months Leads whose last email interactions was within the last 6 months

  • Leads interacted within last 3 months
Leads whose last email interaction was within the last 3 months

  • Leads interacted within last 1 month
Leads whose last email interaction was within the last 1 month

  • Leads not interested in last conversation
Leads marked as 'Not interested' in the most recent conversation

  • Previously qualified leads
Leads marked as 'Qualified' in any previous conversations

When selected, your AI Assistant will not reach out to leads that fall within these Suppression Lists for your campaign.

Leads previously marked as Do Not Contact by your AI Assistant and Bounced leads are automatically suppressed.

You can also add your own email or domain list, and they will appear under Optional Suppression Lists. When these lists are activated for a campaign, your bot will not reach out to these specific leads (for email suppression lists), or leads belonging to these specific domains (for domain suppression lists).

Creating A Suppression List

Depending on the type (email or domain) of suppression list you would like to add, you would need:

  • a CSV file containing the email addresses you wish to suppress

  • a CSV file containing the domains you wish to suppress

If you are uploading an email suppression list, your CSV file should have the column header "email", and the list of email addresses you wish to suppress under that column:

If you are uploading an domain suppression list, your CSV file should have the column header "domain", and the list of domains (without the "@") you wish to suppress under that column:

Once your CSV is ready, you can create your suppression list in Saleswhale. Hover over the "Leads" tab and select "Suppression Lists" from the drop-down menu.

From the Suppression List page, select "Create List" in the upper right of the page.

From the pop-up box, select either "Email" or "Domain" from the drop-down, depending on the type of suppression list you are creating.

Once you have made you selection, you can click "Choose a File to Upload" or drag-and-drop your CSV file.

Give your list a unique name that you will recognize and remember, and select "Create" to continue.
